Le cortège carnavalesque de Schaerbeek est toujours un moment très important pour moi. Déjà, enfant, je le regardais passer avec admiration. Bien des années plus tard, c’est avec cette nostalgie de si merveilleux instants que je l’ai relancé dans notre commune de Schaerbeek. Chaque année, voir ce long serpentin de chars et groupes avancer dans les artères de Schaerbeek est incontestablement un moment chargé de souvenirs. L’entrée dans Helmet demeure l’un des moments les plus importants. Malgré le retard, le public était bien présent au rendez-vous. L’occasion aussi pour moi de revoir de nombreux Schaerbeekois pour qui le Scharnaval représente aussi un moment particulier de notre folklore et de la vie de notre commune.

Plus de 30 groupes venus des quatre coins de Belgique et de Schaerbeek, des habitués et des nouveautés, ont défilé pendant plus de 2 heures entre la place Meiser et la place de Helmet. Voici quelques photos du Scharnaval 2010.

Une année de plus, les équipes de la propreté publique et des espaces verts de la Commune de Schaerbeek n’ont pas manqué d’imagination que pour créer leur char et participer au Scharnaval !

Ce Scharnaval était le premier carnaval schaerbeekois de la princesse carnaval Sonia I. Vêtue de ses habits de princesse carnaval et tenant dans ses mains la clé de Schaerbeek, Sonia I a reçu un très chaleureux accueil tout au long de son parcours.

C’est avec un peu de retard mais sous un ciel clément que le cortège carnavalesque de Schaerbeek a pris el départ de l’avenue Cambier ce samedi 20 mars 2010. L’occasion d’aller à la rencontre des groupes en formation et de revoir des habitués des éditions précédentes.
Projet de crèche avenue Plasky : la charrue avant les boeufs…
Alors que la deuxième demande de permis d’urbanisme pour installer une crèche dans le jardin d’une maison de maître (achetée par l’asbl Crèches de Schaerbeek) avenue Plasky, 40 au détriment d’un îlot vert est toujours en cours (la première ayant été cassée au Conseil d’Etat et Schaerbeek priée de revoir sa copie), il est intéressant de constater que dans ce dossier, les promoteurs schaerbeekois du projet avaient mis la charrue avant les boeufs.
Ainsi dans l’ouvrage « Vert Bruxelles ! Architectures à suivre », le projet tel qu’imaginé par la majorité MR-Ecolo de Schaerbeek y est présenté, ne laissant toutefois pas vraiment de place que pour montrer également qu’au-delà de la verdurisation de l’espace construit en intérieur d’îlot, c’est un petit poumon vert et de tranquilité qui sera détruit.
Lorsque l’on connaît le parcours chaotique de ce dossier qui au final a été débouté devant le Conseil d’Etat, le texte qui accompagne ces photos prête franchement à sourire.
